A Space Created with Intention, History, and Heart.

Before this cozy studio became a space for rest and renewal, it lived many lives — each one a step on the path toward what it is today.

The main house was once home to “Gypsy’s”, a whimsical antique and eclectic shop loved by many in the Hayward area. The smaller structure (Suite 2) was originally built as a garage and workshop to refinish vintage furniture.

When we purchased the property in 2020, the main house became our interim home while the smaller building served as an office for my insurance and financial services business. Even then, I held a quiet vision of creating a wellness space — a place where people could retreat, reconnect, and feel held.

That vision deepened through my own healing journey, which led me to study the healing arts, including Thai bodywork, Reiki, Ayurveda, and nervous system regulation through Yoga, Breathwork, and Meditation. In 2023, I sold my insurance business and gave full heart to this dream. Birdsong Wellness and Yoga was born.

With love and intention, we transformed the smaller structure into a boutique retreat space — a place designed for soulful rest and peaceful getaways. During your stay, you’re welcome to book a healing session such as Thai bodywork, restorative yoga, meditation, or reiki. Or simply enjoy the calm, the comfort, and the beauty of slowing down.

This space was created to hold and nurture you — just as it has done for me.
