Thai Bodywork
Thai bodywork, also known as Thai massage or Thai yoga massage, is a traditional healing art that originated in Thailand. It is a unique and holistic form of bodywork that combines acupressure, energy work, assisted yoga postures, and stretching techniques.
Thai bodywork is often performed on a floor mat, and the practitioner uses their hands, thumbs, elbows, knees, and feet to apply pressure and guide the recipient into various yoga-like stretches and movements.
What is Thai Bodywork?
Thai bodywork is often described as a dynamic and interactive experience, with the recipient and practitioner working together to create a harmonious flow of movement and energy. It can be invigorating and relaxing at the same time, leaving the recipient with a sense of physical release, increased energy flow, and mental clarity.
Key Benefits:
Works on energy lines that carry vital life force energy to restore balance and harmony.
Incorporates a series of passive yoga stretches and movements to increase flexibility, improve joint mobility, and release tension.
Pressure is applied to specific acupressure points along the body's energy lines to stimulate energy flow, release blockages, and promote relaxation.
Fluid and rhythmic sequence of movements creates a sense of continuity and relaxation for the recipient.
